Welcome to the Smithton R-VI Website, my name is David Bray and I am proud to be the Superintendent of the Smithton R-VI School District. I am extremely excited to serve the district and work with our staff and community to make Smithton the best it can be!

Several years ago a dedicated group of citizens worked to develop a strategic plan for our district. The plan outlines four focus areas for continuous improvement. These focus areas contain the strategies the community feels will place the Smithton R-VI School District in the best position to ensure success for all students.

The Smithton R-VI staff is a committed team of professionals who take pride in the work of preparing students for both college and career. Whether serving students in our pre-kindergarten program or their senior year our teachers and support staff are dedicated to creating relevant learning opportunities for all students in a caring and positive learning environment.

As the school and community partner in the work of fulfilling our mission to Encourage, Engage, and Educate, we ask for your input and feedback. We appreciate you interest and dedication to the Smithton R-VI School District.

Smithton R-VI Superintendent

Smithton R-VI Schools are housed under one roof in rural Pettis County , Missouri. There are 538 students PK through 12. Our school is divided into three divisions; Elementary with an Early Childhood Center and a High School with a designated Junior High. Our building is less than a mile south of Highway 50 seven miles east of Sedalia.
